It's readily apparent that designers are looking to get rid of all of their fall and winter goods. Sales are rampant from GAP to Saint Laurent so it can only mean one important thing, new merchandise is on its way and it's spring time.
Now this post isn't focused on any particular trend, but rather an overview of what to look for and how to transition looks from winter to spring. The cold-weather style is all about layering so as less layers become necessary, the time to through in spring styles has come. Substituting a single heavy layer for a combination of lightweight cottons, wools, and linens will be stylish and help you ease into the thaw. Initially, look for pieces that are going to mesh well with the fall/winter colors like shirts and first layers that will become complementary pieces once spring actually hits. And when that point comes, it will be the right time to look for the investment pieces, the staples like sport coats, pants, and shoes that will be the foundation of your wardrobe for the warmer half of the year.
